Program Description:
The staff of Education Abroad appreciates your interest in facilitating a short term non-credit bearing opportunity for students to enhance their education at UNC Charlotte through international study. All programs being led by UNC Charlotte Faculty or Staff (credit bearing, or non-credit bearing) are required to be registered with UNC Charlotte Education Abroad (EA). Please complete the online proposal at least two months prior to the program's departure.

Please contact the Assistant Director for Faculty-Led Programs about your interest and to discuss the program before beginning your proposal. Please refer to the EA website resources for developing a faculty-led program for additional information about the program development process.

Steps to Beginning a Program Proposal

  1. Review the EA website resources for developing a short term program.
  2. Click the "Apply Now" button at the top of this brochure.
  3. Select the Term that is most applicable for your program. The pages that follow will provide instructions on how to complete your proposal.
  4. The system will ask you to complete an itinerary with dates and location.
    1. If your destination does not appear in the provided list, please select the closest available city. You will be able to provide a specific itinerary once in the portal.
    2. Approximate dates are ok at this stage. EA will update once you have submitted an itinerary.
    3. Click "Add to itinerary".
  5. Click "Apply".
  6. You will then be taken to your application home page and can begin completing tasks. We recommend beginning with the "Learning Content" section.
To return to your application at a later time please go to studyabroad.uncc.edu and utilize the login button in the top right corner of the page.
